Food and digestion
Note meals and how your stomach feels, and look for links up to three days apart.
Digestion is personal and often confusing. Reactions can be delayed, and stress or sleep can play as big a part as food.
Why choices work better than notes
Free text is kept for you, but it isn’t analysed. If you log meals as choices (Dairy, Spicy, Alcohol), each option is checked for patterns on its own, so “Spicy” and “Dairy” can show up separately.
Ideas to try
- Keep the list of food choices short at first. You can add more any time.
- Include Stress, because many people find it matters as much as what they ate.
- Patterns checks for links up to three days apart and keeps the strongest one, which helps with slower reactions.
If you're thinking about cutting out foods, it's worth talking to a doctor or dietitian first. Your notes from Patterns can help that conversation.
