Starting or changing a medication
Use Before & after to see how things looked before and after a change, with notes you can share with your doctor.
Starting a new medication, or changing a dose, can come with a lot of questions. Is it helping? Is that new tiredness related? It’s hard to remember how you felt three weeks ago.
Before & after
In Insights, Before & after lets you pick a metric and a day, or “the first entry of” a tracker, like the day you logged a new medication for the first time. It shows the average on each side and whether the difference is likely to be more than chance.
Ideas to try
- Start logging how you feel a week or two before a planned change, if you can, so there’s something to compare with.
- Log side effects as choices rather than free text, so each one can be checked on its own.
- Keep it simple. A few honest entries a week are more useful than a perfect record.
Please don't change or stop a medication based on what you see in Patterns. Bring your notes to your doctor or pharmacist and decide together.
